When we first visited ACE Venture Lab (ACE) at Science Park Amsterdam we were impressed with the atmosphere and ambience of this location. For example ACE holds office in the same building as Nikhef (the National Institute for Subatomic Physics). When we walked in the lobby we saw all kinds of measurement systems, including a monitor with a live link displaying what project was currently running on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN! "Did you know Python was invented here?" Jeroen van Duffelen, manager at ACE, asked us. "And did you know the first European internet connection saw the light of day in this building?". An inspiring environment. Perfect for hosting a DevFest!
